MVP Health Care Student Health PPO Plan

The student health insurance plan for the 2024-2025 academic year is offered through MVP Student Health and administered by Health Sciences Assurance Consulting (HSAC).

Student Health Insurance Plan Premiums 2024-2025

The student health insurance plan is an academic year plan; however, the premium is split into two equal payments. For the AMC policy year, the first payment will be assessed during fall 2024-2025 registration, and the second payment will be assessed during spring 2024-2025 registration. Students who enroll in the student health insurance plan at the start of the academic year will remain enrolled for the entire academic year and will not be eligible to waive out of the plan during the spring term.

How do I find a Preferred Provider or Participating Pharmacy?

To find a preferred provider:

  • Go to www.mvphealthcare.com and click “Find a Doctor” from the home page, on the next screen chose the type of provider needed, then you can continue as a “Guest” and Select a Health Plan – “MVP EPO/PPO”.
  • Go to www.guardiananytime.com and select Provider Online Search; select Find a Dentist, select PPO Networks; select DentalGuard Preferred; and follow the directions

Student Health Plan

What you need to know

All full-time students are required to either enroll or waive

Maintaining comprehensive health insurance coverage is mandatory for all full-time AMC students. All students MUST be covered by an ACA compliant domestic health insurance plan for the entire academic year, including summer and holidays.

You will be automatically enrolled if you do not waive coverage

If an acceptable waiver is not received by the posted waiver deadline, AMC will finalize your enrollment in the student health insurance plan, you will no longer be eligible for a refund of the Fall premium, and your student account will automatically be assessed the applicable Spring premium during registration for the Spring term.

If you are currently waived from the AMC student plan, you do not need to resubmit your waiver.

If we cannot verify the coverage we have on file for you, you will be contacted via email from HSA Consulting, Inc. (HSAC), the AMC Insurance Plan Administrator.

Enrolling in the AMC Student health plan

If you wish to enroll in the student health insurance plan for the 2024-2025 academic year, you must submit your enrollment via the 'Enroll' button at the top of this page.

Waiving out of the AMC Student health plan

If you have active health insurance coverage and would like to waive the AMC student health plan. Please submit a waiver request through the 'Waive Coverage' button at the top of this page. Once you have submitted, you will receive an email verifying if your waiver meets the AMC requirements to waive.
