For the 2020/2021 school year ATSU (ATSU) is continuing to offer a student health insurance plan.  As you know, all ATSU students are required to have active health insurance coverage. To ensure that students have access to a comprehensive, reasonably priced health plan ATSU received proposals and reviewed the options within the marketplace. Based on the available options, ATSU has chosen United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR) as the medical plan provider for the 2020/2021 student health plan. With the implementation of a student health insurance plan all students must either enroll in the student sponsored health plan or provide proof of other acceptable health coverage.

The 2020/2021 ATSU/UHCSR student health insurance plan is a PPO with an extensive network of participating providers across the country. The plan will allow for unlimited benefits with a $750 annual deductible for in-network care, coinsurance of 80/20 and an out-of-pocket maximum of $7,150 for an individual.

The Open Enrollment Waiver Period for the 2020/2021 academic year will be from May 20, 2020 – June 30, 2020.  For the 2020/2021 Policy term the effective date of coverage will be from 07/01/2020 through 06/30/2021.  The ATSU Student insurance plan is an annual enrollment policy although premium will be billed to your student account in 2 payments by semester.

HSA Consulting, Inc. (HSAC) is the group administrator for the student health plan and will verify the waiver information to ensure all students are currently, and remain, in compliance with A.T. Still University health insurance requirements. All information submitted is confidential and utilized for verification of health insurance only. You will be receiving emails from HSAC from this point forward so please make sure to review the information they are providing you. As the group administrator HSAC will assist students with plan questions, address changes, claims assistance and obtaining ID cards.  Their team is available by phone or email,  HSA Consulting, Inc. If you wish to enroll in the student health insurance plan for the 2020/2021 academic year, you must submit your enrollment via the "Enroll" tab at the top of this page. The earlier you submit your enrollment, the sooner you will receive your plan materials (brochure, ID card). Students enrolling after the plan begins will have their coverage backdated to the start of the plan unless they have experienced an involuntary loss of coverage.  The A.T Still University student health insurance plan does not offer coverage for dependents, this is a student only coverage plan.  Dental and vision are not included on the plan to keep premium at a reasonable level.  If you would like Dental or Vision coverage you may seek individual plans. 


If you have active health insurance with benefits that meets all the criteria listed on the Waiver section, you may apply for waiver of enrollment in the A.T. Still University Student Health Insurance plan. You will need to have your current insurance ID card and information regarding your plan benefits to complete the process. A copy of the front and back of your Health Insurance ID card must be submitted with your request. Once you have submitted the required information, you will receive an email verifying if your waiver meets the A.T. Still University waiver requirements. Waivers will not be accepted past the required deadline.  Please submit your waiver through the "Waiver" tab at the top of this page
